Requirements for Part 135 Travel

The U.S. government is now enforcing that all travelers, including those on Part 135 trips, must present a Real ID or another approved form of identification for domestic air travel. This requirement is part of the Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to enhance security at airports and streamline the identification process. Ensure you have the necessary identification before your next flight within the United States.

To ensure a seamless travel experience and avoid any disruptions, it is essential to verify your identification now to confirm it meets the Real ID requirements. Given that processing times for updates may vary, we highly recommend addressing any necessary changes well in advance of your next flight to avoid last-minute challenges, especially after the May 7, 2025 deadline.

While Real ID is the preferred form of identification, the TSA also accepts other valid IDs, such as a passport, U.S. military ID, or trusted traveler cards like Global Entry. For a complete list of approved forms of ID, please refer to the TSA’s website.
